Terms of use

Effective 23 September 2026. Version 1.1.

These terms are the agreement between you and Ignacio Uliczki, the independent developer who makes Squadcard (“we”). By creating a squad, joining one, voting or buying Squad Pro, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Squadcard.

Who can use Squadcard

You must be at least 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission. You are responsible for keeping access to your account and devices secure.

What Squadcard is

Squadcard lets friends who play football together organise games, rate each other after matches and see the results as player cards, teams and awards. Ratings are the opinions of your squad-mates turned into numbers for fun. They are not a professional assessment of anyone’s ability, and we don’t promise that they are fair or accurate.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you add: names, photos, squad names, crests, tags and votes. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display that content so Squadcard can work, including showing it to your squad and rendering it into cards and images that you or your squad choose to share. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies already shared by people outside our control and anonymous votes kept as described in the privacy policy.

Only upload photos you have the right to use, and only photos of yourself unless the person agrees.

Zero tolerance for abuse

Squadcard is banter between mates, not a place to hurt people. You must not use it to post or send anything that is abusive, harassing, hateful, sexual, violent, threatening or discriminatory, including in player or squad names, custom tags or photos. You must not impersonate someone, add a person to a squad to mock them, try to see how individuals voted, manipulate ratings with fake players or accounts, or interfere with the service.

Anyone can report a player, photo or squad in the app. We review reports, remove content that breaks these rules, and may suspend or delete the accounts and squads involved, without notice where the abuse is serious. Organisers can also remove players from their squad.

Squad Pro subscriptions

• Squadcard is free to use. Squad Pro is an optional subscription, offered monthly or yearly at the price shown in the app before you buy. Anyone in a squad can buy it, and it makes the squads you choose Pro for all their members: two squads with the standard plan, more with the higher plans shown in the app. You can move it between squads you’re in at any time.
• If your subscription ends, the squads it covers keep all their data; their Pro features pause once the paid period ends. If you leave a squad, your subscription stops covering it and is free to cover another. Leaving a squad doesn’t cancel your subscription.
• If a free trial is offered, you won’t be charged until it ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Bought in the app: payment is taken by your Apple ID, and you manage or cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.
• Bought on the web: payment is taken through our checkout provider, and you can cancel from the link in your receipt email or by contacting us. Where the law gives you a right to cancel and get a refund, you keep it.
• When Pro ends, your squad keeps working on the free plan. Pro-only features stop until you resubscribe; your squad’s history is not deleted.

Pitch fees

Squadcard can keep a record of who owes what for the pitch. It is a record only: Squadcard never collects, holds or transfers money, and it isn’t a payment service. Settling up is between you and your squad-mates.

Playing football is at your own risk

Squadcard helps you organise games; it doesn’t run them. We aren’t responsible for venues, bookings, injuries, weather, or anything that happens on or around the pitch.

Our service

We work to keep Squadcard available and your data safe, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever shut Squadcard down, we will give at least 30 days’ notice in the app, let you export your data, and stop charging for Pro.

Squadcard, its name, design, card designs and software belong to us. You may use them only through the app and website as intended. Squadcard is not affiliated with any football club, league, governing body or video game.

Ending your use

You can stop using Squadcard and delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. The sections on your content, liability and our rights continue to apply after your account ends where needed.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Squadcard in the 12 months before the claim. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights the law of the country where you live gives you, and these terms do not take them away.

Apple

If you use the iPhone app, you also agree to Apple’s App Store terms. These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Squadcard or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims; we are, to the extent these terms say so. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app, if any. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect; if you keep using Squadcard afterwards, the new terms apply. The version and date at the top always show the current one.
