Pitch money
Squadcard keeps the list of who owes what for the pitch, so you don't have to. It only keeps the list: it never takes or moves money, so there are no fees. Players pay you however they already do.
Setting the cost
When you set up or change your game, enter the pitch cost and choose how it's shared:
- Split between who played: the pitch cost is divided by however many played that week.
- What each player pays: a fixed amount per head, whatever the numbers.
What players see
Before the game, the squad page shows roughly what each player's share will be, based on who's in so far and on a full game. Nothing is charged until the game has been played.
When the charge is added
When a game's result is entered, its pitch cost is charged to everyone who played. Each player's balance then shows on the pitch money page: what they owe, or what they have in credit if they've paid ahead.
Marking payments
When someone pays you, in cash or by bank transfer or however you do it, mark it. Organisers and co-organisers can do this:
- Mark paid: clears what that player owes in one tap.
- Record a payment: enter any amount, for part-payments or paying ahead.
- Send "who owes" to WhatsApp: a ready-written message for the group.
The currency
The currency for pitch money is set in your squad's settings. It only changes the symbol: no money is ever converted or moved.
Is it included?

Questions
Does Squadcard take the payments?
No. It tracks who owes and who's paid. The money goes between you and your players as it does now and never passes through Squadcard, so there are no fees.
Who can see the balances?
Everyone in the squad can see the pitch money page. Only organisers and co-organisers can mark payments.
Does a guest get charged?
Yes. A guest who played counts in the split and gets a share like everyone else. Mark it paid when they hand it over.
What happens with a voided match?
A voided match doesn't count for anything, so nobody is charged for it.
Is Squadcard free?
Joining a squad, voting, your card and stats are always free. Starting a new squad needs Squad Pro (7 days free on the yearly plan), and one Squad Pro covers the whole squad. Squads started before 5 October 2026 stay free.
