Fair teams for 14 players
Fourteen people, two fair sides of seven. Paste the list, say roughly how good everyone is, and the generator picks the teams. Free, no sign-up.
Seven a side, or six with a sub
Fourteen is a full 7-a-side game, or 6-a-side with a sub each, or 5-a-side with two subs a side on a small pitch. Whichever you play, it's two sides of seven, balanced on level.
More players, more ways to be unfair
With fourteen, there are thousands of ways to split the group and most are lopsided. That's why picking by eye usually goes wrong, and why the generator checks them for you.
Keep the list for next week
Your names and levels stay in your browser, so next week you just change who's in and pick again.
Fair every week
The generator is only as fair as the levels you pick. In Squadcard, everyone rates everyone else after each game, so the ratings come from the people who were there and the teams get fairer on their own. Plus player cards that move with your form, a player of the match and a Team of the Week.
Questions
How do I split 14 players into two teams?
Paste the fourteen names, set how good each one is, tick any keepers, and tap Pick fair teams: two sides of seven, balanced on level.
Can I play 5-a-side or 6-a-side with 14?
Yes. Pick two teams of seven and use the extra players as rolling subs.
What if 13 or 15 turn up?
Paste whoever's there. The side with fewer players gets the slightly stronger ones.
How do I stop guessing how good everyone is?
Squadcard does it for you: after each game everyone rates everyone else out of 10, and the app picks the teams from those ratings. Only totals are ever shown.
