Why a Team of the Week works
It gives people something to talk about between games. The one who made it shares it; the one who didn't argues about it; both turn up next week. It works for a Sunday league, a five-a-side league, a school team or one group of friends.
How to pick one fairly
A Team of the Week picked by one person turns into the same names every week. A few ways to keep it honest:
- Ask more than one person: a vote from the players beats one organiser's memory.
- Pick by position: a keeper, defenders, midfield and a forward, not just the goalscorers.
- Spread it round: a great game from someone who rarely gets a mention is worth more than a third week for the star.
- Post it at the same time every week, so people look out for it.
A Team of the Week that picks itself
In Squadcard, everyone rates everyone else out of 10 after each game and picks a player of the match. Individual votes are never shown, only totals. The Team of the Week comes straight from those ratings, as a picture ready to share, so nobody has to choose and nobody can say it was fixed.

Start a squadQuestions
Is the Team of the Week maker free?
Yes. No sign-up. The picture is made in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
Can I add ratings?
Yes. Type a rating out of 10 next to a name and it shows on that player's shirt. Leave it empty and the position shows instead.
Can I mark a player of the week?
Yes. Tick the circle next to a player and they get a star on the picture.
Which sizes can I make?
5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 11-a-side, with a choice of formations for each.
Can I change the title?
Yes. It starts as "Team of the Week"; change it to "Team of the Month", "Team of the Season" or your league's name, and add a line underneath for the week or the date.
